Erinnert sich noch jemand an den Hype um das Xiaomi Mi Pad? Als das Tablet seinerzeit noch nicht auf dem Markt war, bzw. gerade vorgestellt, wurde alle Nase lang über das Tablet berichtet und das mit gutem Grund: ein 7,9 Zoll großes Display mit einer Auflösung von 2048 x 1536 Pixeln, 2GB RAM, ein Tegra K1 Prozessor. Damit war das Mi Pad noch vor dem Nexus 9 mit diesen Spezifikationen ausgestattet. Im Gegensatz zum Nexus kann das Mi Pad aber mit einer TF-Karte um bis 128GB erweitert werden; da könnte man im Zweifel auch am internen Speicher sparen.
Das Tablet ist derzeit beim Online-Händler Gearbest im Angebot: dort kostet die 16GB Variante rund 193$ – die 64GB Variante etwa 252$. Das Tablet kommt dabei zwar nur mit Android 4.4 (KitKat), wer sich aber nicht unbedingt an der verwendeten Android-Version stört, der könnte hier ein ziemlich ordentliches Tablet für kleines Geld bekommen.
Wer die Bilder aufmerksam beobachtet hat, dem dürfte aufgefallen sein, dass es sich bei der Oberfläche nicht um klassisches Android handelt, sondern hier das sogenannten MIUI zum Einsatz kommt – eine stark angepasste Android-Version, die sich vor allem in China großer Beliebtheit erfreut. Wem das allerdings nicht gefällt, der hat ja immer die Möglichkeit, einen anderen Launcher zu installieren. ;)
Wer ein handliches Tablet für den eigenen Bedarf oder ja vielleicht für die anstehende Weihnachtszeit für kleines Geld sucht, der könnte unter Umständen beim Xaiomi Mi Pad fündig werden.
